Management at my compl had my car towed because the registration was expired, can they do that?

Pucca Loves Purple Orchids asked:

My vehicle is registrered in California. I live in San Antonio, Texas. My the apartment complex management had my car towed from my parking spot, are they allowed to do that? No warning , no nothing one day my car was just gone?

Can they do that? And what about now? I still havent received my registration stickers in the mail, can they tow my car again?

How should I handle this?

Yes that can. Pretty damn disgusting isn’t it?

I’d suggest you move when your lease is up and tell everyone you possibly can to never rent from them.

And also, if you have a few minutes, go to the office and tell the guy who towed your care that he’s a scumball.

Read your lease. I’m sure it states that any cars not properly tagged can and will be towed from the parking lot. Or there may even be a sign in the lot.

    That’s your warning.

And yes…they can tow your car again.
