how do i get a vehicle title from another state?

i already called georgia… they said it’ll take several weeks (almost a month) to send me a title.

Call the DMV there and tell them your plight. They will hopefully direct you on what to do.

go to a california dmv with the 2007 registration and have a title seach done. as soon as they can verify that the car is in your name, you can get it registered (with a smog certificate) california requires that you register a car within 30 days of entering the state so if georgia is going to hold you up, california will do the leg work.
